SurgiSmoke Solutions™, formerly Nascent Surgical, was founded by Dr. Leonard Schultz, MD a general surgeon and serial entrepreneur from Minnesota. Dr. Schultz spent some 30 years inventing products that capture surgical smoke in an effort to preserve the health of the operating room team and prevent post-operative infections in their patients. He also worked tirelessly to establish and expand state-based mandates for smoke evacuation from surgical facilities.
